Furniture Cakes

This project was created by Ryosuke Fukusada and Rui Pereira to interpret how consumers are unable to keep up with the ever evolving contemporary furniture industry. Anyone else feel overwhelmed by all of the new products being launched each year?

I am kind of in love with these little cakes and I hope they patent these molds and make them available to purchase. How would you decorate your furniture cakes? Mine would have lots of HOT PINK, GOLD, & WHITE!

Mini Buns for Mini Cheeseburgers

I thought this was so brilliant that I had to bookmark it! First of all, I LOVE any food that can be turned into an appetizer. No guilt feelings when you have 2nds, right? Quick Dish used Pillsbury French Bread Dough & a glass to make the perfect sized buns. OOOH these burgers look so juicy!

I cannot wait to try this… maybe on the first football Sunday?

1. Poached Eggs with Shiitake Mushrooms, Wilted Arugula and White Truffle Cream

I’ve put together this list of 10 egg recipes to impress your brunch guests. I’d like to try all of them for my family. Some are simple, some (like #10) look like you may need to practice a few times.

My “go to” recipe is currently a Toad in the Hole, & I’m sure my kids will appreciate some variety!

2. Sunny Side Up Eggs in Sauteed Onion Ring Mold

Cake Tattoo

Marjorie from sugarforthebrain.com teaches you how to “tattoo” your cake with icing and parchment paper. I cannot believe how cute it turned out. You could use her technique for any style cake- I really cannot wait to try this!
